Mexicali was founded in 1989 by three brothers, Manuel, Trinidad and Raul. It started in a small hole in the wall shop in Addison and has now expanded to a 20,000 sq ft. shop. Manuel was the one who had the ambition to open his own shop after working for more than 15 years in various plating shops in the area. Manuel convinced his two brothers, Trinidad and Raul to join him as partners in their new business. With all his expertise and a little help from his brothers, Manuel started growing Mexicali Hard Chrome into a respectable plating business.

More Than Chrome Plating

We have grown over the years to expand our capabilities and our service line to include much more than just chrome plating. In 1997 we added an Electroless nickel line with tanks that are 4'x 4'x 6' and have had great success dealing with the printing, food & hydraulic industries. Electroless nickel is an excellent rust protector, and is usually less costly than chrome plating.

In 2001 Manuel and Trinidad acquired grinding wheels, lathes, metallizing gunstools and a grinding machine, creating a a respectable metallizing shop.

Mexicali Hard Chrome can repair, rebuild or manufacture most shafts, hydraulics, and cylinders. We are a family owned and run business, so we deal directly with all our customers. We pride ourselves on our turnarounds and quality; there is no job that we won't take on. It doesn't matter if it's overnight, weekends, or holidays we will always get the job done.
